The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release JEE Main syllabus 2022 on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Mains Syllabus 2022 [Updated] (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)
As a JEE aspirant, you should know the complete syllabus of JEE Main exam. The JEE Main aspirants have to cover all the topics/ concepts of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry from class 11th and 12th, which are part of the JEE Main syllabus. Along with NCERT books, aspirants can study from JEE reference books (recommended option is IIT JEE Study Material). It’s also important to solve questions from past year papers of JEE Main to know what type of questions you can expect in the examination.

Oscillations and waves | Speed of sound in air at room temperature using a resonance tube |
Electronic devices | Specific heat capacity of a given (i) solid and (ii) liquid by method of mixtures. |
Kinetic theory of gases | The resistivity of the material of a given wire using metre bridge. |
Current electricity | The resistance of a given wire using Ohm’s law. |
Communication systems | Potentiometer -(i) Comparison of emf of two primary cells.(ii) Determination of internal resistance of a cell. |
Electromagnetic induction and alternating currents | Resistance and figure of merit of a galvanometer by half deflection method. |
Magnetic effects of current and magnetism | The focal length of; (i) Convex mirror (ii) Concave mirror, and (ii) Convex lens, using the parallax method |
Optics | The plot of the angle of deviation vs angle of incidence for a triangular prism. |
Electromagnetic waves | Refractive index of a glass slab using a travelling microscope. |
Atoms and nuclei | Characteristic curves of a p-n junction diode in forward and reverse bias |
Electrostatics | Characteristic curves of a Zener diode and finding reverse break down voltage |
Dual nature of matter and radiation | Characteristic curves of a transistor and finding current gain and voltage gain. |

*Note:- Drawing test is conducted in drawing sheet, which is provided at the exam centre. All other items required for drawing like pencils, geometry box set, crasets, colour pencils and crayons for the drawing test have to be brought by the candidate.
JEE Syllabus 2022 for B.Plan
The JEE Main paper 2 syllabus for B.Plan has three subjects, Mathematics, Aptitude and Planning. The syllabus of Maths is similar to Paper 1, and Aptitude syllabus is also same to that of B.Arch paper. The remaining planning section syllabus can be checked below. FAQ’s about JEE Main 2022 Syllabus
Is 2022 JEE syllabus reduced?
As of now, there is no change in the JEE 2022 syllabus. For JEE 2021, NTA has decided to provide choices in one section (Numerical value questions) to rationalize the decision of different Boards across the country regarding the reduction of the syllabus.JEE 2022 exam pattern is expected to be the same as JEE 2021.
Is JEE 2022 Tough?
Toughness of the paper is determined by the level of your preparation. JEE has a history of surprising candidates about the difficulty level, like, “Expect the unexpected”. Whatever the questions level will be, you should be mentally prepared from your side. JEE 2022 can be tough or easier than 2021
Is JEE Main syllabus same for Paper 1 and Paper 2?
No! JEE Main syllabus for Paper 1 and Paper 2 are entirely different. Paper 1 is conducted for B.Tech admission and has topics from Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Paper 2 is conducted for B.Arch and B.Plan and has topics from Maths, Aptitude common while drawing for B.Arch and Planning for B.Plan.
